Thank you both. It is very odd to look out into the garden and see just the two girls pottering around instead of three. Miggins went down hill very quickly (as chickens are wont to do.)We'd brought her inside to warm her up and administer some TLC when it became clear she wasn't her usual chipper self, and she just tucked her head under her wing and slipped away.
I am so sorry. I know that they were part of the family. She will be surely be missed.
